Internal Training - Audit & Assurance

Setapak, Kuala Lumpur:

On 11 September 2024, Thursday, JAP conducted an internal Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training led by Mr. Hanif Amin for the staff of the Audit and Assurance Department, including those stationed at various branches across Malaysia. The training was held online, allowing widespread participation and ensuring that all staff members, regardless of location, could attend. This session aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of the audit team, focusing on maintaining and improving audit practices in line with the firm’s standards.

The training also highlighted the proper implementation of accounting standards within the context of audit and assurance work. Staff were guided on how to interpret and apply key standards such as the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) (MPERS) to ensure that all audits are compliant. This aspect of the training aimed to bridge the gap between theory and practice, equipping the staff with the tools needed to conduct audits with precision and accuracy, while meeting regulatory requirements.

JAP remains committed to the continuous development of staff competence, ensuring that the Audit and Assurance Department is well-equipped to meet the evolving demands of the profession. By conducting regular internal training such as this CPD session, JAP emphasizes the importance of staying up-to-date with audit procedures, reviewer expectations, and accounting standards. This proactive approach not only enhances the skills of the staff but also ensures that the firm’s audit processes remain of the highest quality and fully compliant with current regulations. The focus on professional growth is a testament to JAP’s dedication to maintaining excellence in audit and assurance services.
