CPD TRAINING II

Internal Training - Updated 'Garis Panduan Koperasi'

Setapak, Kuala Lumpur:

On Thursday, 3 October 2024, Jamal, Amin & Partners (JAP) conducted a second internal Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training session, led by Mr. Firdaus, one of the firm’s Partners. The session was attended by members of the Audit and Assurance Department, including those stationed at multiple JAP branches across Malaysia. This online training reflects JAP’s continued commitment to delivering high-quality and up-to-date audit services, regardless of location.

The focus of this session was on the updated Garis Panduan Koperasi (GP23), a critical guideline recently issued by the Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM). The training aimed to ensure that every auditor within JAP is well-informed on the latest regulations, particularly as they apply to auditing cooperative entities (Koperasi). A thorough discussion was held to interpret and apply the updated guidelines in real-world audit practices.

JAP has a long-standing history of auditing Koperasi in Malaysia, and the firm recognizes the importance of staying current with SKM’s evolving expectations. By regularly engaging in focused CPD training, JAP enhances its capability to deliver accurate, compliant, and value-added audits tailored to cooperative organizations.

This session also underscores JAP’s proactive approach to professional growth, compliance, and maintaining a strong relationship with regulatory bodies. The integration of the GP23 updates into our audit procedures will not only refine the quality of audits but also reinforce JAP’s leadership in this specialized field.

With continuous learning and a culture of excellence, JAP ensures that its team is prepared to meet the growing and dynamic needs of the cooperative sector in Malaysia.
